Samira Potts

I’m Mr. Brightside! That is not to say I never get down, but

every negative force in my life only makes the positives more radiant.

So far I am having a great senior year. I have accomplished all that I

wanted to accomplish this past year, and more. I owe most of my

success to the lovely people I surround myself with and my hobbies

soccer, guitar, and chess -- yes, I never tell anyone but I play quite

a bit of chess. I have a wonderful family, an incredible Mr. Spartan

group, and Samira, my partner in Mr. Spartan.

Why I am doing Mr. Spartan: Primarily, for the community that has

given me so much, but also I am following in the footsteps of my high

school mentors Zeit Cai and Mitchell Duncombe.

Hello!

    I’m Samira Potts and I was lucky enough to be chosen as a senior girl in the Mr. Spartan Pageant. My last year at CHS has been a memorable one, and I’m so glad to finish out the ride as an asset in this fundraiser. I’ve wanted to be a part of Mr. Spartan for years, and I couldn’t have been happier when I was accepted into the program.  As a senior girl, I’ll be helping my partner Banner, and the rest of the Mr. Spartan crew, in achieving our goal of raising $50,000. The event that Banner and I are in charge of is Karaoke Night, which will be held at Papa’s Pizza Parlor. It’ll be a night full of humiliation, delicious pizza, and good old fun. You really won’t want to miss it.

    Next year I’ll be attending Lane Community College located in the beautiful, politically active town of Eugene, Oregon. I’m so ready for the challenge of living on my own in a town away from home. I’ll continue on the road of music, following my passion for singing while striving to be better.

I spend my free time reading, and I enjoy writing as a personal outlet. I’ve been an active member of the Heart of the Valley Children’s Choir for six years and would rather spend my time singing than doing anything else. Dark chocolate is my kryptonite and cherry tomatoes will surely lead to my demise.
