Mina Zarnegin

Mina Zarnegin
Hello there!
My name is Collin Peterson. I'm a member of the Cross Country running team and am currently in the midst of my Cross Country Ski team season. I am also a member of the CHS choir and take pleasure in rocking peoples' worlds with my vocals. In the past, I was on the Lacrosse Team, but I will have to take a break this spring due to the time commitment of Mr. Spartan. I take pride in my title of being the Secretary of the National Honors Society and am the President of the Sherpa Club at school. I love Oregon more than any other place and revel in its magnificence as often as possible by camping and romping through the wild. I also love to hunt for ducks and deer, and go clam digging, crabbing, and fishing in the bountiful estuaries near the coast. I'm a big fan of California Rolls, artichoke dip, avocados, and squash. I think the greatest invention ever was the air guitar, but making music via the physical realm is just as dandy. My plans for next year lie in the University of Oregon, where I hope to progress in the field of biology.
This year, I am planning the Silent Auction with my partner Mina, Tyler McFadden, and Alana Schaffer. Be there or be square! I am so psyched about being a member of Mr. Spartan this year, and am ecstatic to be working with such a kick-butt crew. From all the ridiculous opportunities to entertain others, the dancing, the frolicking, and the bonding, to the fact that I will be helping my community significantly by aiding the Mario Pastega House and the Cancer Center through donations really excites me.

Hi!
My name is Mina Zarnegin and I must say I am honored to be a part of Mr. Spartan 2010! I am very excited about the pageant this year as well as being partnered with the one and only Collin Peterson. Collin and I go all the way back to kindergarten where we made some great memories, and now 12 years later its time to make some new ones. He and I will be working on the Mr. Spartan Silent Auction that will be held on April 10th 2010. We have a great group of very talented people this year that are committed to giving back to our community and making this years Pageant one to remember! I want my senior year to be one I will always look back to and be proud of, and what better memories than those of Mr. Spartan?
Here is a little info on me:

- The geekier side of me enjoys reading Harry Potter and playing the flute in the CHS Wind Ensemble and Pep Band
- I have played the flute for 7 years
- I work at Preschool in the summers and spend many hours volunteering around the community
during the school year
- My favorite thing to do is visit my family in LA every year
- And the thing I lack most in life is sleep...
As for my future, I have always wanted to become a Pharmacist, and I have currently been accepted to OSU to major in Pre Pharmacy and I am anxiously waiting to hear from from University of Southern California (my dream school) where I will major in Biology with an emphasis on Pre Pharmacy. In the next few years I would also like to combine my passion for writing and love of world cultures by hopefully traveling the world and writing about my experiences. Lastly, I should mention that none of this will be possible without the endless love and support from my wonderful family and friends who have learned to put up with me all these years, and now more than ever as I work my way through this Pageant and the last few months of high school.
