Jenessa Duncombe

Hi,

I’m Jenessa Duncombe and I am lucky enough to be one of the three head coordinators this year. After being junior girl in the Mr. Spartan 2009 Pageant, I knew Mr. Spartan was something I wanted to be involved in. Mr. Spartan draws me because I love working in groups. The whole pageant centers on one idea: together, we can make a profound impact on our community. I also believe the experience empowers everyone involved, because we learn that with dedication, we can shape the world. It’s been my dream to be a head coordinator since sophomore year and I love helping the group achieve its goal. Our group this year is talented and hysterical; I cherish every minute we’ve had so far and can’t wait for the months to come.

Outside of Mr. Spartan, I enjoy skiing varsity on the CHS downhill ski team, traveling, yoga, backpacking, and of course going on adventures. In my spare moments, I work at Sam’s Station as a waitress and barista. Looking into the future, I will attend Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. I am ecstatic about Wesleyan, and look forward to skiing on their club racing team. I have yet to pinpoint my major next year, and I plan to explore my many passions, including writing, languages, law, physics, and much more! Although I leave the state next fall, I will always come home to my family who are my heart and soul and I love unconditionally. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my final year in Corvallis and I know Mr. Spartan will be the highlight of my senior year.
