The final stretch of high school is here but I’ve never been so excited! This year I’m lucky enough to be a head coordinator of the largest and most famous fundraiser at our school. Each day I wake up and experience the joy of knowing I have the chance to make a tremendous difference in someone’s life. After being a junior girl in last year’s Mr. Spartan group, I realized that Mr. Spartan is more than just a hilarious pageant; it is the teamwork and cooperation of the most dedicated students in our school all collaborating to send their hearts out to those in need and give back to the community. Together we form a bond of friendship that can never be broken and together we can make a difference in the world!
In addition to Mr. Spartan, I take joy in many other activities. For the past eleven years of my life I have sung in many of the Heart of the Valley Children’s Choirs and have recently joined The Unmentionables a cappella group. My other passion in life is golfing. The smell of freshly cut grass, the warm sunshine on my cheek, and the sound of a golf ball whizzing into the air make me smile every time. Next year I will continue golfing on the Whitman College golf team in Walla Walla, Washington where I will be attending school. I am considering biology, medicine, engineering, and ceramics as possible concentrations and I am extremely excited for the many adventures college will bring me! The other true loves of my life include skiing, ceramics, coffee, and the color purple. With all of these joys and Mr. Spartan too, I know I will have the best senior year possible!
