Itzel Magana

I’m excited to have Mr. Spartan be the capstone of my high school career. Little Michael used to attend pageants and events and aspire to be singing, raising money, or making a fool of oneself with the guys. Now I see the depth of this program and the joy of selfless giving. My crazy-cool partner, Itzel Magana, and I are organizing the A Cappella Night, the premiere event of the year!

A wee bit about me:

I've been raised in Corvallis for eighteen years, though I lived in Italy for 5 months and once went to Disneyland.

When I'm not singing, I'm probably only sleeping or eating. I can multitask, though.

I perform in seven musical ensembles, including the Heart of the Valley Choirs, The Aviators male a cappella group, Blue Tones Jazz Band, and CHS choirs.

I love playing Ultimate Frisbee because it's almost a hard-core sport, except it isn't.

I had a rat named Ratty and a goldfish named Goldy. I was a very creative young child.

Next year I will attend a good college somewhere in the US (TBA) and study music.

I'm a pescatarian, which means I'm a vegetarian who believes sushi is God's gift to humankind.

I have an older brother who is graduating from Whitman College. Once I broke his nose with my foot, but I said I was sorry.

I love theater, and have played roles from a young jewish boy in the shtetl to an Italian philopher to a funky lion.

I occasionally watch Gilmore Girls, which is my guilty pleasure.
