Hey Everyone my name is Philip Campbell and I'm super excited to be a Mr. Spartan contestant this year! I have been dreaming about having this opportunity for a couple of years now and having a hard time fathoming that we are actually in the midst of it all right now!! I have a terrific girl counterpart in Heidi Anderson, who I have gone to school with for 12 years, and our event is the Talent Show and Video Night on April 14th. In the last couple of years I have enjoyed running myself ragged (and my parents along with me) through this wonderful thing I call my life. It has been insane to say the least, and my mom thinks that I am trying to fit to much into high school and constantly reminds me that I do still have the rest of my life. Which is true, but what is wrong with constant stress? I have been actively involved at Corvallis High School being a DVD Yearbook Producer, basketball player, Senior Class Co-President, and member of the Leadership class and Z-Club. I love working with other people to help people, there is no other feeling like it in the world. Next year I will be majoring in either Film Production at USC or Chapman, or business at U of O.
Other interesting facts:
I received the Presidential Gold Service Award last year
I love Disneyland and went there for my 18th birthday with my mom, we road 28 rides and she was sick for the next week.
I have traveled to Mexico and San Francisco each twice with my church on mission trips
I started my own company CAM Productions, LLC in 2008. I mainly film houses for realtors, but I do anything videography related.
I've also held jobs at Cloverdale Farms, Inc. as a Farmhand, The Pepsi-Cola Distributing Center as a truck-washer, and at home being an administrative assistant for my mother's home based business.
When I grow up I want to be a executive producer for my own television shows.
My personal heros are Chandler Bing and Nathan Worden
I believe the show LOST is the great novel of our time

These past four years at Corvallis High School have been equally chaotic and thrilling. I ran Cross Country, participated in school theatrical productions, and just this year joined the Nordic Ski Team. I currently work as a lab assistant at Oregon State University, attend St. Mary’s Church, and sing in two school choirs and three of the Heart of the Valley Children’s Choirs. In addition to these activities, this year I have been given the incredible opportunity to take part in the school’s 14th annual Mr. Spartan Fundraiser.
As a youngster attending Mr. Spartan Pageants I always thought the event was simply a popularity contest among the senior boys. However, over the past year I have come to realize that being involved in Mr. Spartan is really about testing your limits and seeing how much good you can accomplish in four months. How many lives you can change, how many friends you can make…this is in no way a popularity contest. It’s a chance to give back to the community and meet people I would not usually come in contact with. It takes creativity, teamwork, time and effort, but so does everything else worthwhile. Second semester seniors are notoriously lazy and apathetic about high school academics, but Mr. Spartan has been a constant reminder to put on the brakes and enjoy my remaining time in Corvallis. I look forward to seeing you at all our upcoming events!
