Danelle Finnen

Hello!

    I am so excited to be a part of the Mr. Spartan Pageant this year. It really does awesome things for the people in our community! I got lucky enough to be partnered with the best senior girl, Danelle Finnen, for the Pageant. Danelle and I, along with Lani and Edward, are organizing the Mr. Spartan Garage Sale which takes place March 6th.

More about Sean:

•I love to ski and have skied on Varsity Ski Team for 4 years.

•Next year I’m going to OSU to study Mechanical Engineering.

•Last summer I discovered a love for road biking.

•I like golfing, and was on the golf team last year. One round I shot under 100.

•I’ve watched all the Star Wars movies too many times. Way too many times. Episode 4 is the best.

•I go backpacking every summer.

•Coconut is delicious.

•I’ve been watching Lost for 6 seasons and still don’t know what’s going on.

•I look up to my brother, Chris, who is currently at the Air Force Academy in Colorado studying Astronautical Engineering .

•I’m taller than he is.

•I almost got a tan once.

•I was born in Corvallis and have lived here most of my life.

Sean Brown

Hi,

    I’m Danelle Finnen and my Mr.Spartan Boy is Sean Brown. I am so glad that I chose to be a part of Mr.Spartan 2010. Here is a little bit of info about my life outside of Mr.Spartan:

    Next year I will attend Dartmouth College where I plan to study Biology. I love Oregon, but all of my family lives on the east coast so it will be nice to be near them next year.

    I have been a member of the cross country running team for three years and was co-team captain this past year. I also run the 3000 in track in the spring. I love distance running and it is something that I plan to continue with once I leave CHS. I have completed three half marathons and next year I plan on joining the Dartmouth Endurance Racing team where I will be able to run half marathons, full marathons and various long-distance relay races. I have also been a member of the CHS Nordic Ski Team for three years and love going out to the snow, competing against teams from the Bend area.  

    I am also a closet artist, spending many hours drawing and painting when I’m at home. I  usually keep my artwork to myself, storing my work in sketchbooks around my room. I usually draw what I see outside on my runs so I have many pictures of trees and hills throughout McDonald Forest. I also enjoy photography, and I am currently the Mr.Spartan photographer.

    Sean and I, along with Eddie and Lani, are in charge of the Garage Sale this year so make sure you support Mr.Spartan by donating items as well as attending the event. You never know what you may find there...
