Alaina Adams

My name is Wil Cooper; my partner in crime is Alaina Adams. This year Alaina and I are organizing the Hoop Jam, which will take place on Saturday, March 13! We are part of the Mr. Spartan group this year, raising money for the Mario Pastega House and the Good Samaritan Regional Cancer Center.

Here’s a little about me:

I love star trek

I enjoy ice cream and a good pair of slacks

I’ve been a varsity swimmer for the past 4 years

I eat peanut butter spoons at least twice a day

I make it a point of never reading a book or watching a movie where a dog dies

I’m a chocoholic

I’m addicted to limeade and drink a gallon or so every few days

Books are awesome; I always come out of the library with around seven books … I never read any of them

My favorite book is Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell, if you don’t enjoy footnotes don’t pick it up

I love history, philosophy, and theology

I’ll be attending either University of Portland or Saint Mary’s College of California next year

Wil Cooper

I am one of the twelve girls who are partnered with a guy who is competing to be THE Mr. Spartan. My partner is Wil Cooper. Wil and I are heading the Hoop Jam, which takes place on March 13. Both Wil and I are working together to raise as much money as we possibly can. In order to be honored as Mr. Spartan, Wil and I have to put our all into Mr. Spartan and prove that Wil deserves to be crowned. I am really looking forward to what Mr. Spartan has in store for the people we are helping. I really appreciate the willingness of all my fellow seniors in Mr. Spartan to donate their time to support a good cause.

Apart from Mr. Spartan, I have played for the school volleyball team for four years. I have been on varsity for three years. I am also playing basketball for CHS. I have been on varsity for four years. These past two years I have been playing spring and summer basketball as well. When I have time, I join the One Wheel Wonders when they are playing unicycle hockey. Along with that, I play Ultimate Frisbee. On the non-active side, I am joining my youth group this spring break to take a mission trip to Mexico. I also find myself babysitting quite often.

Next year I am planning on going to college, but where I have no idea. If I receive a scholarship for basketball at Corban College then I will go there. If not then I will stay in Corvallis and attend Oregon State University. I want to major in Industrial Engineering, but if I end up at Corban I will major in accounting.

Right now I am only focusing on school, Mr. Spartan, and basketball. It is proving to be difficult to juggle these three things, but so far I have managed. I am excited to see what impact this group of great students will have on our community.
